Kim Soo Hyun made a rare appearance on a variety show for China's 'Bring You to the Stars' and opened up about his relationship with his agency CEO Bae Yong Joon, acting challenges during 'The Moon that Embraces the Sun', and the character he's played that is most similar to him in real life.
On the April 25th premiere of Jiangsu Satellite TV and Key East Entertainment's co-produced Chinese variety show 'Bring You to the Stars', Kim Soo Hyun shared the story behind his nickname for his boss Bae Yong Joon,
"I didn't know what to call him at first so I got scolded for calling
him 'CEO.' I used to call him sunbaenim, and now I call him hyungnim... I
had a bowling match with hyungnim last year and won."
He also showed his down-to-earth side by sharing his acting challenges, "It
was scary to take on the role of a king for the drama 'The Moon That
Embraces the Sun' at a young age... I was young, I took on the role of a
king, and it was my first historical drama. I had fears about if I
could act out the power struggle between the politicians and ministers."
Kim Soo Hyun also chose his character Sam Dong on 'Dream High' as the character among his dramas that is most similar to him in real life.
